Let's go back to last Saturday night....
I'm in bed. It's before 10:00pm. Me being in bed before 10:00pm on any night is unheard of!! I'm tired. I've been feeling low capacity all week. Dealing with more boundary issues with one of my classes. Feeling a lot of anger over the last few weeks. I participated in a Family Constellations event on Saturday afternoon and there was a lot of big energy. Before we delved into the constellations, there was a shamanic drumming session, which was AMAZING! My body remembered the Kundalini Dance Journeys I'd been on. Even though we were seated, I was moving my body, breathing through my central channel and sticking my tongue out as I breathed out, "hhhaaa". It was a message to return to intuitive movement. I thought: I need to dance like this more often. Later, in the evening, I'd fallen asleep on the couch while rewatching True Blood, which has just come onto Amazon Prime. So I decided to adult: had a shower, scrubbed my face with my favourite face scrub, put on a face mask and then settled on my bed for some journalling, as I hadn't done any journalling for ages. I decided to put on my Wild & Wise Intuitive Dance playlist as I was journalling. At one point, I felt called to get up and move my body, feel my body, dance and breathe. And then one song got its hook into me: "Motherland" by The Human Experience. I played it three times. And something interesting happened.

Welcome to another Letter from the Cocoon.
I suggest you grab a cuppa, find a comfy spot and read on... I'm still in here, in the cocoon. Still becoming. Still discovering things about myself that are sometimes challenging to see. But that's kind of the point, isn't it? Awareness is generally the first step of the process. This is just me reflecting from inside the cocoon. Sharing what I've been observing, feeling into and learning about myself. And lately? Judgement. Judgement. Judgement. I've been thinking about judgement. How judgemental I've been, how being judgemental makes me feel, what I might be protecting myself from, and what all that judgement might be costing me. Gorgeous soul, it's Olga here. Remember me?
It's been AGES since I've shown up here. I had put a pause on Wild & Wise. No women's circles. No workshops. No newsletters. No blogs. To be honest, I've been playing with this blog post in my head for months now! So, what's been going on? Well… I've been in the cocoon. I've been percolating. Going around in circles in my mind. Wondering what Wild & Wise actually is. What do I call this thing I offer? Women's circles? Intuitive dance journeys? Guided experiences? And what am I actually helping women with... at the core of it all? What do women actually get from these experiences with me? I've had a lot of indecision. And self-doubt. And resistance. Because I knew something was… not quite right. I could feel that the one-off women's circles, workshops and retreats weren't quite fulfilling what I was really wanting to create. I wanted to go deeper. |
