Last Saturday, I held the space for the "Remembering Your Authentic Voice" women's circle. During the intuitive dance, I really got that I LOVE INTUITIVE DANCE and that I could just do the intuitive dance events. And when one of the beautiful souls mentioned afterwards that she'd never been to a circle with intutive dance, I realised, oh, that's MY THING. That's what makes me and my women's circles different. I'd been struggling with creating a point of difference as there are a LOT of women's circles out there. My body loves to move and in that movement process, I find myself releasing "stuff" - such as emotions, stories, limiting beliefs, masks, etc. In this space emerges clarity where I can hear the messages from my heart and my soul so much more clearly. It's a process I really benefit from and obviously love. And it was participating in Kundalini Dance Journeys that got me started on that pathway! So I am inspired to bring the intuitive dance component to the forefront of my Wild & Wise Women's Circles. That's why moving forward, I'll be promoting my events as Wild & Wise Women: Intuitive Dance & Sacred Circle (and as always, that name is a work in progress!). In addition, during the women's circle on Saturday, I was recommending a lot of resources around dance, intimacy, connection events, fun and excitement - which I'd love to share with you as well! >> RESOURCES << Take what works for you and ignore the rest. 1. DanceKundalini Dance with Patricia Silverwolf (Gold Coast) I've done several Kundalini Dance Journeys with Patricia and I highly recommend her. Kundalini Dance is using movement, breath and sound to activate and clear the chakras and central channel from root chakra to crown chakra. I think Patricia has put a hold on her group Kundalini Dance Journeys and is focusing more on Shamanic Breathwork events.
Or search for other Kundalini Dance classes (globally) here: https://www.kundalinidance.com/find-a-kundalini-dance-class/ Ecstatic Dance Brisbane with Adrian Mornay (Brisbane) I've only been once and really enjoyed the experience. Adrian starts off with a short circle experience (all genders) where you get to reflect and share with each other. He has a HUGE group so we move into smaller groups of 4 people for the circle part. Some dance events are combined with a Cacao Ceremony or Yoga.
Shake It In the Shadows with Tania Emiliani (Brisbane) Tania runs monthly expressive dance therapy events at BrisWest Centre, Paddington. The event includes a lovely, intimate circle so that you can connect and share, along with free flow dancing in the dark, following by a reflective art process. I've been once and I really enjoyed my experience. Tania also runs monthy Connect & Thrive Catch-up Dinners in Brisbane, which I've also been to and are great for connecting with like-minded souls. Tania chooses a different restaurant each month. 5Rhythms with Honor Morningstar (Brisbane) I've not yet been but am keen to try it out when it fits into my schedule (as I teach on many Friday nights).
Or find in person or online classes from other instructors (globally) here: No Lights No Lycra (Brisbane) This is basically dancing in the dark so probably not as community focused as other dance events unless you arrive early or stay later to have a chat with others. Or search for NLNL classes globally: 2. Intimacy & Connection Authentic Relating International (global) This is a global organisation. Authentic relating is the practice of relating to others with vulnerability, honesty and an open heart. I've done the level 1 course online and have attended an online session. However, I've yet to attend a Brisbane meetup.
Bree Taylor Molyneux (Brisbane) I love how Bree talks about expanding your range. I recommend Heart-Led Intimacy (an intro level offering which I'm doing again in July) and Fierce Love Immersion events. I haven't tried the more advanced events as yet.
3. Fear, Excitement & FunMaking Space For Fear There was a discussion around making space for fear on the road trip of your life is from the book "Big Magic" by Elizabeth Gilbert (who also wrote "Eat Pray Love"). I did a video about this last year and read out the letter to fear. Check it out here (Wild & Wise Blog) Follow Your Excitement This is from Bashar, a channelled energy through Darryl Anka in the USA. Bashar provides the instruction manual for how life works:

Here's a video I found on YouTube explaining this: Fun! In the latest newsletter from The Playful Warrior, Kara shared about the Space Elevator:
When reading one of Brene Brown's book (I think it's in The Gifts of Imperfection - highly recommended), she quotes Dr Stuart Brown, founder of the National Institute for Play: https://nifplay.org/ "The opposite of play is not work - the opposite of play is DEPRESSION" ~ Dr Stuart Brown Next...
